Philo Zeiss is the former bodyguard of Lew Moxon. He is voiced by Diedrich Bader.
Origin[]
Philo's Uncle Victor was the gardener for the Sicilian Mafia. After his uncle died the head of the Sicilian Mafia took Philo in and trained him to be an assassin. Feeling a debt to the Sicilian, Zeiss agreed to have surgery on his spinal column and optic nerves which gave him superhuman speed, sight and reflexes. Zeiss eventually relocated to Gotham City and began to work for Lew Moxon. However, he and Moxon had a falling out and Moxon fired him.
Revenge[]
Several years later Zeiss returned to Gotham and abducted Mallory Moxon in order to get revenge on Lew Moxon. However, Zeiss manages to discover that Bruce Wayne is Batman and makes a deal with Moxon that if he kills Batman for three million dollars Moxon will never see him again. Sometime later Zeiss attempts to kill Bruce Wayne. However, Bruce is saved by his friend Jeremy Samuels, who dies in the process. Later, Zeiss challenges Batman and the two fight. During the fight Batman damages his goggles with his Batarangs and knocks Zeiss out. With Mallory safe Zeiss is taken to Blackgate Penitentiary.
