Martha Wayne (née Kane) was the wife of Thomas Wayne and the mother of Bruce Wayne. She was voiced by Adriene Barbeau.
History[]
The Great Woman Behind the Great Man[]
Martha stood by her husband during his campaign for district attorney and when he was elected. She loved her family and would often say that Thomas and their son Bruce were her whole world. However, tragedy struck when Thomas and Martha were gunned down in Gotham's infamous Crime Alley. This pushed Bruce to becoming the vigilante Batman.
Back From The Dead[]
In an attempt to get Batman to join him Rā's al Ghūl stole the bodies of Martha and Thomas and placed them in the Lazarus Pit and revived them. Batman at first considered Rā's al Ghūl's offer because he saw that Rā's could give him everything he wanted including his parents and the end of crime. However, Batman soon discovered that Martha and Thomas were under mind control. In the end Martha and Thomas perished and Martha's dying words to Bruce were "I love you son."
