Bane was a chemically enhanced, criminal that once broke Batman's back and joined the League of Shadows. Bane is voiced by Danny Trejo.
Origin[]
Durance (first name unknown) was born and raised in a prison called Peña Dura on the island of Santa Prisca. As an adult Durance escaped Peña Dura and relocated to Gotham City. There he got into trouble with the law and was arrested. He was going to be executed but a black ops team rescued him from Blackgate Penitentiary and brought him to Lew Moxon. Moxon offered Durance a job which he accepted. Moxon then put Durance through an operation that enhanced his strength by pumping a super steroid called Venom into his brain.
Season 1[]
Bane from season one
The first part of Bane's plan was to cause a breakout at Arkahm Asylum which he accomplished by using his new strength. Bane then made Batman deal with the various criminals which exhausted the Dark Knight. Bane studied Batman and eventually discovered that he was really Bruce Wayne. Bane then attacked Bruce in his weakened state at Wayne Manor and broke his back. Afterward he took control of a large portion of Gotham for Lew Moxon. To defeat Bane, Batman created a robotic Batsuit which enhanced his strength. Batman was able to separate the pump from Bane's head and Bane was then sent to Arkham Asylum.

Bane's main weapon is a green, liquid, super steroid called Venom. The Venom is stored on a device on his wrist which is connected to his brain by a tube. When Bane pumps the Venom through the tube to his brain the chemicles in the Venom make him super strong. The pump and Venom were created by Lew Moxon using Wayne Enterprises technology.
